Safety at Anvil
At Anvil, Safety is a culture – not just a commitment. It is first, last, always, and in all ways.
We follow an “If I see it, I own it” philosophy. Our program involves management, supervisors, and employees identifying and eliminating hazards that may develop during our work process. Before entering any onsite process facility, employees complete a Job Safety Analysis.
We also participate in client safety programs and are members of recognized safety and health auditing and compliance programs. New employees are required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, as well as TWIC if required. Current employees are tested throughout their employment with Anvil
Anvil is also fully committed to safety in our designs by incorporating all safety codes and regulations into our functional, constructable designs. We focus on how constructors can safely build our design, and subsequently how the end product will be operated efficiently and maintained safely.
Our Target Zero Program is another key indicator that safety is our number one priority. This program fosters our safety culture and recognizes employees who demonstrate exceptional dedication and leadership by improving Anvil safety. We encourage everyone to take an active role to improve safety conditions for themselves and their coworkers.
Each month, employees performing safe acts above and beyond the regular scope of their duties get nominated to receive company recognition by their peers. Winners are eligible for Anvil’s Safety Person of the Year award.
